Come join us at the parking lot for Blendz Barbershop, 1020 West Pennsylvania Avenue in Southern Pines on Monday, November 1st, as the Moore County NAACP welcomes the Black Voters Matter Tour Bus for a Get Out The Vote event. Help the MC NAACP and Black Voters Matter turn out the vote by participating in no-contact canvassing in West Southern Pines ahead of Tuesday, November 2nd's critical municipal elections.

The stylists at Blendz Barbershop will be giving free basic haircuts from 4:00-6:00 pm (masks are required, one customer in the shop at a time).

Curbside Chicken and Fish Restaurant will be providing free chicken or fish sandwiches with a bag of chips, and a drink.

The Moore County Health Department will be providing free Covid-19 tests and vaccinations at First Missionary Baptist Church at 315 South Gaines Street in Southern Pines from 4:00-5:45 pm. The Moore County NAACP will provide $100.00 gift cards to the first 10 people to get their first Covid-19 vaccination. We will provide $25.00 gift cards to the first 10 people to bring a friend to get their first shot., and $10.00 gift cards to the first ten people to get tested for Covid-19.

Come out and meet the dedicated staff from Black Voters Matter, get a haircut, get a meal, get vaccinated, and please help us turn out the vote for Tuesday, November 2nd's crucial elections. The Southern Pines Land and Housing Trust's struggle to maintain a community asset and fend off the gentrification of West Southern Pines should tell us all we need to know about how critical this municipal election is.
