“Sometimes you have to not just dream about what could be—you get out and push, and you pull, and you preach. And you create a climate and environment to get those in high places, to get men and women of goodwill in power to act. — John Lewis

On May 10, the National John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Action Day, 10,000 of us took to the streets and our National Broadcast was viewed nearly a quarter of a million times.

We mobilized to educate voters about the wave of voter suppression threatening millions of voters and the importance of passage of the For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, D.C. Statehood and to address the filibuster rooted in Jim Crow.

On July 17, we are holding Good Trouble Vigils in honor of John Lewis’s one-year death anniversary. There are going to be nationwide candlelight vigils to demand the passage of these key democracy reforms.

It is imperative that we keep fighting.
Always peaceful, never passive.
