You may have seen the news on Thursday, July 1, of the Supreme Court ruling which severely undermines what’s left of the Voting Rights Act. This is a setback, but it’s not the end of the road. Now it’s even more important that we pass the For the People Act this summer to ensure equal representation for all citizens, and then turn our attention to reforming the courts. We know what the goal is: We need to increase the pressure and tell our Senators to pass real, inclusive Democratic Reform now. No excuses. This week the Moore County NAACP will join with Indivisible and allied organizations across the country to host events to support the For The People Act. Join us this Saturday to continue to call out the Republican's efforts to destroy our democracy.
